Widely regarded as “Belgrade’s Central Park”, this is one of the largest and most beautiful green areas in the entire city. Even though it’s less than 15 minutes away from the bustling center of the city, it is a peaceful, cool area with lots of shade and opportunity for cycling, rollerblading, running or simply enjoying a picnic.
The park is filled with monuments dedicated to various important moments of Serbian history and on its north side it leads into Topcider cemetary which is also where the church of St. Trifun is located. A small stream runs through the park in addition to its fountains, creating small lakes and refreshing the air. For those looking to enjoy a quiet lunch there are also some nice restaurants and cafes available in the area.
